Martin is married to Esther and has five children and two earned doctorates in the area of ancient languages relating to the Bible. During his career he has worked for the Universities of Munich, Münster, Wuppertal and Marburg, and has published original analyses of texts in Arabic, Ethiopic, Hebrew and Syriac. He was called in as an expert witness in what has been dubbed the ‘Forgery Trial of the Century’ in Jerusalem because of his expertise in Ancient Hebrew scripts. His German book on the history of the New Testament text has already gone through five editions. He is widely sought as a speaker in churches in Southern Germany. |
